TXU Energy Leadership Award Recipient: Leadership in Engagement

Billingsley Company’s master-planned developments go beyond design and amenities. They are truly models of sustainability. The majority of Billingsley Company buildings are now powered with 100% wind energy. And last year, the company used $29,000 in TXU GreenBackSM rebate dollars to install HVAC and lighting upgrades. These changes save 1 million kWh of electricity each year, representing a 20% reduction in usage.

The company engaged employees in its overall sustainability and philanthropic goals, implementing recycling programs at every property.  In addition to these achievements, Billingsley Company donated more than $500,000 to support educational outreach programs, food banks, global entrepreneurship organizations, international charitable organizations, and programs that motivate and inspire excellence in scientific research.
